BACK GROUND

As notified by Ministry of Road Transport vide notification No. G.S.R 1361 (E) dated 02 Nov-2017, all vehicles manufactured or sold after 1st Dec 2017 are to be fitted with FASTag before registration/delivery to customer.

No vehicle registration would be allowed post 1st Dec’17 if FASTag is not fitted and activated and proof of activation included in registration papers to be submitted to registration authorities.

WHAT IS FASTag?

FASTag is linked to a prepaid account of customer (Individual or Corporate, etc.) from which the applicable toll amount is deducted.

The tag employs RFID technology and is affixed on the vehicle's windscreen after the tag account is active.

FASTag is a perfect solution for a hassle free trip on national highways.

FASTag is presently operational at 360+ toll plazas across national and state highways. More toll plazas will be brought under the FASTag program in the future.
